In most of the cases the lack of proper sleep due to patient’s sleeplessness is commonly termed as “insomnia” without having a thorough analysis though there’s every possibility for the ailment not to be insomnia. Sleeplessness is an inability may be for a short time or a long period. The reasons behind this condition can be external or an internal one. Some may get the solution without going through serious consequences but others keep on suffering in a sleepless condition which needs more medical attention.
One of such sleeping issue is sleep apnea. People are familiar with this as interruption in breathing of an individual while sleeping. Mostly the breathing gets to shallow and sometimes it remains stopped for a few minutes. The next event is the awakening of the patient with huge gasp of air in his/her mouth. As a result the patient keeps on choking air for while and fall asleep again. In severe cases the instance can occur several times throughout the night and most of the patients do not remember anything when they wake up. The result is patients feel clumsy after the sleep along with sore throat, headache and dried up mouth.
“Obstructive sleep apnea” is mostly prevalent among the patients and it depicts the sleeper is not adequate air via nose and mouth toward the lungs. Consequently there’s not flowing adequate amount oxygen in the blood. Patients can have learning and memorizing troubles including blood pressure and heart disease depending on the severity of the condition. This disease can cause fatal results if proper medical attention is not given to patient in time.
